Competitive Business Intelligence
NetPeriscope is an OnX developed competitive business intelligence service that offers online, real-time access to competitive information.
Real-time access enables your company to optimize its competitive market positions online using NetPeriscope’s advanced Content Recognition Engine (NP-CRE) to locate and extract specific, publicly accessible information on the Internet. You can then query, retrieve and analyze this information using a standard Internet browser.
In real-time you can:
- Compare by Item - capture up to five items across ten competitors simultaneously. Search by inventory number, manufacturers' number, or description.
- Compare by List - conduct multiple searches across multiple companies, and generate reports from the results.
Queries and Analysis: this a feature that allows you to generate reports from stored information. The Online Merchant Competitive Intelligence Engine continually collects and updates online information, acting as a data storehouse for you to draw from instead of requiring you to search each competitor website. Q&A allows you to:
- Product Compare - a reporting system derived from statistical analysis of differentials between your product lines and your competitors.'
- Price Compare - similar to Product Compare, this creates reports indicating price differentials between your company's product lines and those of your competitors.
- Search by Keyword - allows you to create reports based on your queries of the NetPeriscope database.
Statistics: Online Merchant Statistics allows you to view raw data and create analytical reports. Six types of reports are created:
- Discount Analysis - provides comparison reports on items that your company and its competitors have discounted, and by how much.
- Distribution Analysis - provides inventory reports based on how many products your company and your competitors report on their websites.
- Shipping Analysis - allows you to create reports detailing online shipping information posted by your competitors.
- Price Analysis - translates data into a cross-referenced report allowing you to compare all your pricing information with your competitors equivalent pricing.
- Averaged Analysis - this averages the pricing provided by Price Analysis, giving an overall view of how your company is positioned vis-a-vis your competitors.
- Pricing Error - this highlights potential errors in your online pricing through your selected threshold and competitor input.
