Managed Hosting

During the power blackout of August 14th 2003 that affected the entire north-eastern seaboard of the United States and Ontario in Canada, darkening New York, Toronto, and other major cities in the region for more than 24 hours, OnX's customers continued to operate without interruption for the entire period of the power disruption.

Absolute Assurance

Whether we manage your equipment, your data, your applications, your network, your internet, VPN, or wireless connectivity, or all of these, you need absolute assurance that your business infrastructure is safe, secure, and cannot be compromised in any way. To ensure the complete integrity of our hosting solutions, OnX has constructed a secure hosting facility and Network Operations Centre in the spring of 2001 using the most up-to-date data centre construction techniques.

eXpertise

OnX is unique by managed hosting standards with it more than 200 multi-vendor certifications which are leveraged from our information technology divisions. These certifications include among the highest standards in Cisco, Veritas, HP, f5, IBM, Sun and others. This expertise invokes comfort beyond the four walls and tier-1 facility standards included with our hosted solutions.

Security

Physical security at the data centre is maintained through the use of an electronic authentication and access control system. The walls of the facility have been strengthened to prevent intruders from by-passing security. The facility is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year and is monitored continuously by video cameras that are archived digitally.

Protected

Your systems are protected from power failure through state-of-the-art Dual Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), battery back-up power, and in the event of a long-term power outage, redundant diesel generators. Further, the data centre high-voltage feeds are distributed through redundant and independent grids providing continuous computer-grade power.

The OnX data centre is equipped with multiple HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) systems to maintain control over the environmental conditions in the data center facility. As a result, temperature and humidity are held within strict tolerances.

A sophisticated fire detection and pre-actioned fire suppression system provides extensive, zoned fire protection for all customer and OnX equipment including FM200 and /or a dry-pipe, pre-action sprinkler system.
