Managed Backup and Recovery

OnX operates an enterprise back-up system to protect your valuable data from disk failures or unexpected data loss. There are three fundamentals in backup services: reliability, flexibility and scalability. OnX’s managed backup services can grow as your business expands, and our support of multiple platforms means that we can assist in even the most heterogeneous environments.

Protect your Data

When we host your critical business operations, we ensure that you never suffer catastrophic data loss. To protect your valuable data from disk failures or unexpected data loss, OnX operates an Enterprise back-up system based upon technology from Veritas Software and StorageTek Technology Corporation.

Fully Recoverable

Using Veritas NetBackup DataCenter agents, OnX creates fully recoverable back-ups of your data and writes that data to high capacity tapes in our StorageTek tape silo. Full back-ups are taken weekly and duplicated, with one tape staying in the silo for quick recovery and one tape sent off-site to a secure storage facility. In addition, we take daily incremental back-ups and send these off-site to the secure facility. We rotate tapes to ensure that:

• One month of historical, full weekly back-ups is archived at the secure offsite storage facility;
• One week of historical, incremental daily backups is archived at the secure off-site facility;
• The most recent historical full weekly back up is available on-site in the tape silo.
• OnX protects your investment in your data and, in event of a failure, gets you back up and running quickly and efficiently.
